Volunteers are a critical piece of the positive learning environment at STEM K-8, and we welcome you to share your time and talents with our students and teachers. Please let us know a little about your interests and availability – we know it may change as the year progresses, but this gives us a valuable place to start!

Volunteer Network Frequently Asked Questions

Q) “I want to volunteer, what do I do next?”

A) To become a Volunteer with Seattle Public Schools you must:

  • Watch the ASM Video.
  • Complete the Volunteer Form and turn it in.
  • Copy your ID in-person in the main office.
  • Pass a Washington State background check.

If you are planning on being a volunteer DRIVER,  you must complete the Volunteer Driver Checklist  first.

Q)“Does Volunteering require being at the school on a regular basis?”

A) Not at all! There are many ways you can help out, at home, at your own pace, and even at your leisure.
