Give your time. Share a skill.

Our school has a very active parent community, and we would love to have you join us!

Volunteers are a critical piece of the positive learning environment at STEM K-8, and we welcome you to share your time and talents with our students and teachers. Please let us know a little about your interests and availability – we know it may change as the year progresses, but this gives us a valuable place to start!

Frequently Asked Questions

Q) “I want to volunteer, what do I do next?”

A) To become a Volunteer with Seattle Public Schools (for example, chaperoning field trips or helping in the classroom)  follow the steps on the Volunteer Page of their website.

To volunteer for the STEM K-8 PTA, you only need to complete the Seattle Public Schools volunteer requirements above if your volunteer role takes place on the school premises (for example, helping at the Book Fair or with an enrichment class). If you volunteer for the PTA outside the school (for example, volunteering at the auction or helping with the PTA website) you don’t need to complete the SPS requirements.

Q)“Does Volunteering require being at the school on a regular basis?”

A) Not at all! There are many ways you can help out, at home, and at your own pace.

Contact president@stemk8pta.org and ask how you can help.
