Move-a-Thon coming Feb 2 & 3!

STEM values healthy movement and inclusion. The Move-a-Thon celebrates both while raising needed funds for our school! All students will be able to participate, and families are encouraged to set up a fundraising page to collect donations for our school.

The Move-a-Thon will take place during students’ regular PE class on February 2 or 3. All students will attend, regardless of fundraising ability, and will participate in workout stations such as four-square volleyball, soccer dribbling, hula hoops, or stretching (for a much-deserved break!)

Money raised from the Move-a-Thon will buy library books, field trip scholarships, school supplies and more. We all know our schools never have enough funding, and this is a great way for you to help while your student gets some fun and healthy movement.

But wait….there’s more! Students will get a temporary tattoo when they set up a fundraising page, and there will be more opportunities to get a temporary tattoo in the next few weeks!

WHAT TO DO RIGHT NOW:

  1. Get your fundraising page created by emailing maryann.m.lambert@gmail.com!
  2. Sign up to volunteer at the Move-a-Thon: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/5080444adad2da2fb6-moveathon#/
  3. Check out our fundraiser page: https://app.99pledges.com/fund/StemMoveAThon

Our goal is to raise $10,000 with the Move-a-Thon. If just 35 students raise $300 each, we will have raised more than $10,000. Getting donations is easy. Once your fundraising page is set up, it’s easy to send emails or social media messages to friends. If you have 10 friends who can give $30, you’ve reached your goal! Small donations can make a BIG difference for STEM!
